The United States of America

Who are the Americans?

Born in the fires of war and revolution in 1775, the United States has rapidly ascended from a motley assortment of rural farmers and fishermen into one of the mightiest powers of the modern world, controlling the majority of North and Central America and establishing new colonies overseas and even on other worlds in the void of the Aether. Boasting an industrial base that cannot be matched, the entry of the United States into the Great War signals that this is no conflict that can be won by attrition alone.

How do they play?

Jacks of all trades, there are American units that can do every single job in the game, and if they have the proper support of officers and commanders, they will excel at those jobs. Thanks to their National Idea, the Americans boast an advantage of incredible command flexibility, ensuring that no matter where their leaders are, they will perform their mission with efficiency.

No matter what your favorite style of army is, whether you favor rapid-striking aerial infantry or crushing your enemies beneath your heavy treads, the Americans can supply diverse platoons of respectable, specialized units to help you achieve that goal. No two American armies look quite the same, and if you enjoy personalizing your path to victory, America may be the army you’re looking for.

Why should I collect them?

America has an answer for everything. If you like playing a broad, versatile combined arms force with nearly infinite possible combinations and playstyles, the Americans are likely the army for you. If you like the classic dieselpunk aesthetic and iconic war machines then the American range truly will have something for every WW2 enthusiast to enjoy.

While some armies may boast stronger tanks, or bigger guns, or tougher infantry, there is no other army that can match the sheer diversity of units and platoons at an American player’s disposal, and with their unique National Idea granting them unmatchable army control, your opponents will quickly learn that there is more to fear than simply the biggest gun.

Where do I start?

If you’d like to start with the US Armored Divisions, the venerable M42A1 Blackbear Medium Tank is the hardworking backbone of America’s tank armies. You can then supplement your armored platoon with a powerful M46 Grizzly Heavy Battle Tank, or perhaps an M54 Bruin Heavy Tank Destroyer to show you mean business. Keep enemy infantry at bay with the fearsome M48R5 Crocodile and its devastating flamethrower, or the agile M30A3 Jackrabbit Light Tank to harass their vulnerable flanks!

If you’d rather join the ranks of the newly formed US Walker Regiments, there is no better place to start than with the versatile X53 Lynx Battle Walker, the favored steel steed of every American cavalryman, and boasting a wide range of weapons that allow it to be adapted for every job. Harassing your foes and pressing the objectives, the support of a few X32 Bobcat Light Battle Walkers will grant you the speed and firepower you need to forge the way, and if you prefer a more heavy handed touch, there is no more definitive example of American engineering than the tremendous X74 Catamount Heavy Battle Walker, a model that will draw eyes and inspire fear the moment it hits your battlefield.
